A Mushroom Fricasse with fettuccine, pecorino, Romano, and truffle oil topped with grilled salmon satisfied both palate and appetite. It looks like a bowl of noodles by Kokeshi and a few sips of by Far From The Tree Cider made the table too.

It was past time for a stop into Far From The Tree Cider so #TerribleTee and #TheBaldOne dropped in the other night for wee taste of the apple creature,

The new bar is a bit bigger than the old one, yet somehow opens the room up visually. It was a single Macachusetts for our BaldGuy who likes the dryer ciders, while the TerribleDude went for a cider flight because he just can’t seem to make up his mind.

#TheBaldOne may have had a very rare snarky moment with the tap room manager, all meant in good fun of course. Hopefully he’ll be allowed back in when he returns.

It’s patio season and FFTT has a good one with lots of room.

Saturday night’s rain and winds brought us to Far From The Tree Cider. This was admittedly a long overdue visit. It was a relaxing diversion for both #TerribleTee and #TheBaldOne aided and abetted by FFTT #CiderSlinger Emily. Somehow Emily had our BaldGuy confused with some character who lives nearby.

Each of our thirsty heroes opted for a Cider Flight, one selected by Emily and the other by the TerribleFellow himself. They took their time enjoying each sip and discussing what to name the river that was running down Jackson Street and feeding onto Jefferson Avenue. After serious deliberation they dubbed it The Snape River. We look forward to one day seeing Big Al himself jump that river on a small motorcycle Knievel style.

#TerribleTee keeps a supply of the FFTT Nova Cider on hand at home. He drinks some of it, but he also uses it to help finish off his BBQ Brisket and Ribs. Keep that in mind if your looking to add a little something-something to your BBQ’d meats.

There was also a Pizza by PIZZA WORLD. We’ll talk about that a little later.

This Pie from PIZZA WORLD was ordered by #TheBaldOne while enjoying some Cider at Far From The Tree Cider the other night. It was our first pizza from PW since hte new ownership took over.

Pepperoni and mushroom dressed the Pie generously, and each slice was accompanied by a refreshing sip of outstanding Cider.
