The Warm Grain Bowls at Life Alive Organic Cafe are a nice change of pace, so yesterday #TheBaldOne went ahead and enjoyed this bowl of brown rice, black beans, sweet corn, purple cabbage, tomatoes, jalapeño, avocado, boiled egg, and almonds. It hit the spot and provided a quick energy boost for a long afternoon.

This whole grain bowl at Life Alive Organic Cafe is called The Southwest Sol. It begins with a generous bed of dirty rice, then it’s layered with sweet corn, tomato, roasted Chipotle tofu, purple cabbage, jalapeño and braised black beans. The finish is a nice layer of salsa verde.

These grain bowls are the real deal whether you’re looking for a nice change of pace, or looking to eat a healthier, cleaner diet.

This warm grain bowl at Life Alive Organic Cafe is a clean, healthy breakfast or lunch. Whipped sweet potato, beets, carrots, broccoli, kale, tofu, brown rice, and ginger tamari sauce make a tasty and attractive plate. The boiled egged are an extra by request.

#TheBaldOne has been exploring the Life Alive menu once a week for a couple of months now. He likes what they do, and the change of pace is refreshing.

Here’s a healthy lunch from Life Alive Organic Cafe.

The wrap is called the Hot & Healthy Bachelor. Stuffed with Vermont white cheddar, hard boiled egg, broccoli, kale, braggs(apple cider vinegar), and nutritional yeast in a whole wheat tortilla this sandwich is nutritious and delicious. Throw in the side of black beans and you are fueled for the day.

Presenting the Blonde Miso Soup at Life Alive Organic Cafe. It starts with the the miso, or broth. Blonde miso is made using soybeans that have been fermented with a large amount of rice.

Then it’s just a matter of placing lots of really good stuff artfully around the bowl. Broccoli, cabbage, shitake and evoking mushrooms, even a tablespoon of very savory kimchi. Leave out the soft-boiled egg and this is a vegan soup.
