Where, oh where has our #BlueEyes been. It seems that we haven’t heard from her for some time now.

Rest easy because a recent visit to Sea Level Oyster Bar & Kitchen at Pickering Wharf is in the books. Seasoned Nachos with a crabmeat dip, followed by Fried Oyster Tacos made for a good lunch.

The Adventures of our One With Blue Eyes continues.

While the Boston Celtics were being administered a home court spanking a few nights ago, #SonOfAnExpletive decided to enjoy a meal at Sea Level Oyster Bar & Kitchen.

The lower level was in play due to a private function on the upper level. No worries though, it was good to be able to avoid the stairs.

Fresh Oysters were the starter of course. Six total, two each from the specials menu. Oysters are similar to wines in how they are perceived. Some people have palates that can differentiate one from the other, but many couldn’t separate one from the other on a bet. Our man is one of the latter, but he greatly enjoyed them nevertheless. See the last photo for details on the origin of each oyster.

Pizza was the following course. Crab & Old Bay jumped right off the menu. Crab on a pie? Why not? Old Bay seasoning? That’s different. This seemed a shot worth taking. Red sauce, mozzarella, and chili garlic aioli completed the pizza. It was a very good pie, made even better by the fact that the Sea Level team makes their own dough fresh daily.

The Celtics lost, but the meal was a winner.

Where in the world has #BlueEyes been. Thr answer is never very simple. She’s been here, there and everywhere.

Our friend really enjoys the Wednesday Burger night at Mercy Tavern. It was a Shrimp Mac & Cheese that fed her recently at Sea Level Oyster Bar & Kitchen. The Beverly Depot Restaurant is always on her short list. All Souls Lounge is still a favorite. And of course, what week is complete without a visit with Goodnight Fatty.

Lunch on Monday for #DutchMan and #TheBaldOne was at Sea Level Oyster Bar & Kitchen on Pickering Wharf while the Hillyer Festival Orchestra was testing the sound system for the 4th of July Fireworks.

A Colossal Naked Shrimp Cocktail started things off on the right foot with four fresh and truly jumbo shrimp.

Baja Tacos, lightly fried local white fish, lettuce, avocado salsa, cotija & pepper jack cheese, cilantro lime crème fraîche, in a soft flour shell followed and really hit the holiday spot. #TheBaldOne has nothing but praise for the Tuscan Pasta, Cavatappi, spinach, marinated artichokes & asparagus, sun-dried tomato pesto, stracciatella, and lemon breadcrumbs. He’ll be back for another serving one day soon.
