Oh yes. Before we forget.
#TheBaldOne did stop into All Souls Lounge for lunch the other day. The patio was set up for business, but the favored seat is at the high top bar in the window where you can people watch both inside and outside at the same time. The timing was good as a very colorful character was sitting at the bar, a few folks were in the patio, and plenty of local and visitors alike were passing by.
A very good Kölsch by Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company out of Framingham was selected from the draught list. Marinated Olives served in a citrus marinade with garlic, red pepper flake, and cilantro was a companion snack. Kölsch is a German beer style that originated in Cologne. It wasn’t served in a traditional stang, but was still a light, refreshing beer. The Olives with a nice touch of the salty, citrus citrus and pepper paired well with the beer.
Salsa made with corn niblets, red and green pepper, and onions were on the specials menu and brought a nicel subtle heat with each bite.
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, a house strength come in a nice variety of choices. The ODE To Lowe with provolone, crab meat, cream cheese, sweet chili sauce, and fried wonton was the initial ask, but alas, and alack it was sold out.
So. It was onto the Tuna Melt on marble rye. Provolone, gouda, and a house tuna salad filled the bread nicely. The tuna salad, with celery, has a good amount of mayo, but doesn’t go overboard. The bread was grilled perfectly and there wasn’t a dry bite anywhere in the experience.
