#WeddingPlanner brought the in-laws to Amazing Pizza & More recently. It seems that eating the pie may have taken priority as opposed to taking photos of the pie. No worries we hear it was all quite delicious.

Amazing Pizza & More caught our attention yesterday when they posted that they were serving Swenbeck’s Chowder. Oldtimers will remember Swenbeck’s from back in the glory days of Restaurant Row at Salem Willows. It was a great era in our restaurant history, and Swenbeck’s is a part of the legend.
Well now the Amazing team has stepped into the legend by bringing back the old family Clam Chowder recipe Here’s your chance to get a taste of the Chowder that brought generations of locals and visitors alike to the Salem seashore.
The broth is thin, which plays right into the taste of #TheBaldOne. He’ll eat a thicker chowder, but prefers a thinner broth. This broth holds lots of blended flavors, features a little black pepper, a nice touch of herbs, potatoes, celery, and plenty of clam pieces.
Drop in to Amazing soon and try this Chowder. You owe it to yourself, and those in your family who may have visited Swenbeck’s one day long ago.
Amazing Pizza & More has a few specials this week.
Last October #TheBaldOne stopped into Amazing Pizza & More. They had opened because the #HalloweenHordes were here, and hordes need to eat too. He enjoyed some excellent Meatballs, in a truly outstanding tomato sauce.
Well now that they are open for good, our Bald & Bold protagonist, along with the respected and generous #WingMan decided to drop in and explore.
The take-out lunch crowd was popping in and out as our duo took seats at the bar. Slices and sandwiches were coming from the kitchen and heading out the door on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon.
A house Caesar Salad led off the early afternoon repast. It was fresh and crunchy with white anchovy, and generously bathed in a fresh, creamy, savory dressing. Somehow the shaved Parnesan cheese missed it’s cue and came out after the salad was served. Oh well, no worries, all became right shortly thereafter.
Onion Rings have been added to the menu. Hand-cut and battered, these Rings feature a subtle hint of pepper that tickle the palate just a enough to make things interesting in a savory manner.
Meatballs were also in the mix. As you may have figured out, Meatballs are a favorite on this page, and we spend serious time and effort hunting down the places that have a competitive product. Just as important as the meatball itself, is the sauce. A good meatball has to be partnered with a good sauce. The Amazing kitchen knows this, and knows how to do it. Their slightly chunky sauce makes a good meatball partner.
On to the Pizza, the Italian Pie. It all starts with dough, the basic foundation of any pizza. Here it is made fresh every day. The crust is thin, with properly blistered edges, and a little crunch to the bite. The sauce, not exactly the same as that served with the Meatballs, is also chunky(ier) and full of flavor. Our two heroes devoured three excellent slices each, and then resisted the strong temptation to eat a fourth.
Amazing Pizza is a solid addition to the wonderful world of Pickering Wharf.

Yes it’s true. Amazing Pizza & More is open again at their new Pickering Wharf location at 62 Wharf Street. This spot has been home to some great food created by innovative chefs over the years. We wish Jackie and her team the best as they continue that tradition.
Amazing Pizza & More has made the big move official. The Beverly location has changed hands, and the new Salem location at Pickering Wharf will be their amazin’ and permanent home.
Amazing Pizza & More just enjoyed their first Halloween October at Pickering Wharf. Now it’s time to put a little extra shine on the great space they’ve created.
Wednesday afternoon meant an unscheduled visit to the brand new Amazing Pizza & More on Salem’s Pickering Wharf. Not all good decisions require planning. There’s always a moment where you should take what comes to you. A risk can often bring a reward.
The reward here was the house Meatballs with a touch of the Amazin’ house sauce, or gravy if you insist. These Meatballs are amazeballs in every way. #TheBaldOne could have eaten a dozen and then asked for more. Compliments also are offered for the house-baked bread with garlic and butter which made for excellent dipping.
The Lantern Lager by River Styx Brewing paired well with the Meatballs.
