We have some news on #BlueEyes and her ongoing health issues. She has yet move on to rehab, which will be a long road for her to travel.

Three years ago today our BlueEyedBeauty sent us this shot of a Cookies & Cream Cupcake from Crave on Lafayette Street.

NOTE: We had to edit this. The insurance company is being obstinate. What a shocker.

This morning we made our first ever visit to Crave at their Salem location on Lafayette Street. They are on the edge of downtown Salem, just a short walk from Town House Square.

The space is built out nicely withe a few small tables, and some nice counter seating in the window that overlooks Lafayette Street. The counter, along with the brick facade and the entrance are truly the last remaining historic feature of their space, which over the years has featured old-school doughnut shops and a Dominican restaurant. Many a Salemite has perched on a stool at that counter to people watch and see the traffic go by.

#TheBaldOne opted for a breakfast sandwich called “The Whole Hog,” with sausage, bacon, prosciutto, over-medium eggs, Cheddar cheese & spicy herb ketchup, served on a toasted brioche bun. It is a substantial sandwich, yet only lasted a few hungry minutes. Special compliments are offered for house-made spicy ketchup.

They do offer gluten-free pastries, cookies, and some gluten-free bread options.

The hours are 8 A. M. – 2 P. M. seven days a week.

Welcome to Salem Crave.

The delicious invasion into salem by food spots from #OverTheBridge continues unabated.

Crave on the corner of Lafayette and Peabody Streets is finally showing clear signs of progress. We had been hearing of supply chain issues for the windows and some kitchen equipment. As of yet no firm opening date has been set.

A springtime opening is being planned for Flip The Bird New Derby Street. When they reopen #TheBaldOne will have to reconsider the Cry Bird Sandwich.
