Yesterday afternoon a couple of guests at Columbus Society Lounge ordered delivery from Dina’s Roast Beef on Canal Street.

We’ll call them #GolfCop and #Beansy. A Cheese Pizza and Buffalo Wings arrived promptly. It was a solid Pie, and the breaded Wings were drowned in a nice Buffalo sauce that featured a slightly more than moderate heat on our BaldOne’s personal Scoville scale.

The delivery guy suggested some Keno numbers to our dynamic duo that didn’t work out so well.

This is the final weekend of the Salem Film Fest 2022 and you can still watch some of the documentary films virtually. A little something to eat while enjoying the film of your choice is always nice.

The last we checked both Sammy’s Roast Beef & Seafood and Dina’s Roast Beef, both on Canal Street are still open and slinging #SalemRoastBeef sandwiches.

What, oh what has #NorthSalemGuy brought us? It looks like a #SalemRoastBeef and a case of double vision.

This Double-Decker Roast Beef Sandwich was served just now at Dina’s Roast Beef on Canal Street. Double the beef and an extra layer of bread fortified with sauce only. He did ask for onion too. But somehow the onion was missed. No worries, mistakes happen.

This weekend we plan to have a #SalemRoastBeef at a place that we haven’t formally visited before. Here are three that we have tried.

First up is Dina’s Roast Beef on Canal Street. It was a good sandwich, cooked properly and presented well.

Second, the New England Sammie Company (NESCO) also offers a very good sandwich

Last seen is Londisofsalem. It is a good sandwich.

Heeeeey folks, don’t forget that despite all of the inconveniences that come with the Canal Street Improvement Project, all of the businesses are still open and could certainly use a little love from the locals.

Stop into Dina’s Roast Beef sometime soon, and also Minzu Sushi and all of the other business along that stretch that have been impacted by this long term project.

1. Kushco Bistro – pictured is the Boston Collge which is house-made chicken salad with bacon and tomato. All of their sandwiches rock.

3. Dina’s Roast Beef and Pizza – Yes another roast beef sandwich. This one is great under rated.

4. Engine House – The meatball sub. Get six the large size and cut them in thirds.
