#TheBaldOne has been exploring Chicken Wings a bit lately, and Dire Wolf fell victim to his calibrated eyeball the other day.

These are very meaty Wings, cooked perfectly so that not a single dry bite was experienced. Carolina Sauce was the call, because in the mind of our hero the mustard based sauces are the best of the best. We must issue a good word or three for the house Bleu Cheese Dressing. It stands out nicely and dips a little differently with a thick consistency and plenty of small chunks of cheese.

Chili Garlic Green Beans provided a nice contrast in bite and flavor. These would compliment any of their other menu items.

A 1664 Blanc by Kronenbourg Brewing paired nicely with the Wings. This beer was first made by Canon Brewery in 1664 and the exact same recipe is still used today.

What do we have here? It’s a Burger of course. Made with ground chuck, with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, chili fried onions, and chipotle aioli on toasted brioche. Usually #SonOfAnExpletive disposes of the lettuce and tomato, but this time he made an exception in order to experience this Wolf Burger at Dire Wolf in all of it’s dire glory.

It was ordered rare, and the kitchen took extra steps to assure that it was indeed rare, even to the point of clearly labeling it as such. That extra effort is greatly appreciated.

This was a very good Burger paired with a nice Malbec.
