The Salem Arts Festival 2022 kicks of tonight at 6 P. M. with a juried art gallery at Old Town Hall in Salem, and music and dancing in Derby Square, Salem 7 P. M. to 9 P. M.

Check out this Buffalo Chicken Salad Sandwich on sourdough at Front Street Coffeehouse, Salem MA. It’s a new sandwich and this was the first one served.

#TheBaldOne must confess though, that it was offered as a comp in order to get an old BaldMan’s opinion, as if it might actually mean something to somebody. Don’t tell #AngryAngela, we wouldn’t want suffer those particular slings and arrows of outrageous rage again. Ouch!

Was it any good? Yes indeed it was. Stuffed nicely, toasted lightly, with a moderate Buffalo heat. We suggest strongly that you try one.

It’s been a couple of weeks since we told you how happy we are about the rebirth and resurgence of the iconic Front Street Coffeehouse, Salem MA. So, here we say again. Yay! Yippee! Yowza, yowza, yowza!

We are here for the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting at the newly rebirthed Front Street Coffeehouse, Salem MA. This just may be the largest turnout for a ribbon cutting that we have seen in the 11 years that we’ve been doing whatever it is that we do.

#TheBaldOne is very happy that Front Street has survived it’s semi-dormant period and is again teeming with locals looking for a social cuppa joe.

Front Street Coffeehouse, Salem MA is open and ready to serve coffee by Jim’s Organic Coffee. There are some lunch items available, but they are still waiting for deliveries of some key items. #TheBaldOne just grabbed a hot tea and a handful of chocolate covered coffee beans.

Yesterday we stopped by Front Street Coffeehouse. Renovations by the new owner are underway. Claflin Painting was standing tall, looking good, and applying new plaster to the walls.

This morning we present some memories from the iconic Front Street Coffeehouse. FSC blazed the trail for the contemporary Salem coffee and sandwich shops. They were truly the first of many spots where getting a little work done on your laptop was cool, or you could just kick back and relax over coffee, tea, sandwiches or pastries.

The first photo shows the snowblower that Chris would fire up after a good, old-fashioned snow storm (remember those). One day after finishing the FSC sidewalk, and also the space in front of neighboring busineses, Chris rolled on over to The Lobster Shanty where #TheBaldOne was clearing 20 inches of snow with a shovel. The help was greatly appreciated that day.

Chris, Brenda, their family, staff, and friends built a great community within the FSC walls. We thank them again, and wish a Happy New Year to all, past, present, and future.

The Front Street Coffeehouse rumor mill has been officially put to bed. Diane Wolf, of Lobster Shanty, Wolf Next Door, and in the past Ugly Mug fame has announced her takeover of this legendary Salem spot.

Do you have a particular way to begin your day?

A few times a week #TheBaldOne likes to jump start his system with a double shot of freshly juiced Ginger Root with a touch of lemon. It’s like running electricity through the bolts on the neck of Frankenstein’s creature. Front Street Coffeehouse is usually his spot for this not so common refreshment.

This morning he sat on the ancient granite steps of Salem’s Old Town Hall to commune with the ghosts of Salem past and observe a few of the #Afterweeners as they experience a tour.
